Each of my machines is one of a kind and hand made. In addition to the selection of machines I offer through my site, I also do custom orders. So if you have an idea let me know! 

All Flying Irons Tattoo Machines are guaranteed for life -- I will happily do rebuilds on machines or tunes ups. I guarantee all my builds, and if you have any problems I would be more then happy to fix or replace it.

Mike "Schaf" Schaefer

Schaf has been tattooing and building tattoo machines since 1994. After many years as a hobbyist, he officially started Flying Irons in 2007. 

Schaf attends many tattoo events throughout the year with Flying Irons. He can usually be found as a vendor at the Seattle and Portland Tattoo Expo.

Blaque Owl Tattoo

Schaf also owns Blaque Owl Tattoo in Missoula, MT. Blaque Owl Tattoo has been voted for both "Missoula's Best" and "Best of Missoula", every year since it's opening in 2011. In addition to tattoos and piercings Blaque Owl Tattoo also operates as an art gallery.
